Housing crisis demonstration in Madrid

03 October 2026, Spain, Madrid: Demonstrators take part in a march for housing rights. The protest is called for by the tenants' unions, and demands a 50\% reduction in rents, indefinite rental contracts and the expropriation of housing owned by so-called vulture funds. The organisers are also calling for the movement to advance towards a general strike for housing.
