On the night of November 25th, more than 2,000 members of the Embera Indigenous community from the ChocA? department, one of the poorest Colombian areas, arrived in BogotA  to protest against government non-compliance with the agreement signed weeks ago to ensure access to land, health, nutrition, and housing. leer más The Embera community has historically suffered violence due to the high presence of illegal armed groups in their territory. They have been displaced, threatened and isolated in a jungle area without access to the health system, education and food. Now, they are staying in front of the National Land Agency in BogotA , asking for a dialogue with the Government and with President Gustavo Petro and waiting for the institution to comply with their promise.
