Demonstration Regarding Migrants Killed By ICE..

July 25, 2026, Mexico City, Cdmx, Mexico: A group of U.S. citizens living in Mexico City gathered at the Monument to the Revolution to demand justice for the killings of Lorenzo Salgado, shot dead by ICE agents in Texas and Johan sebastian Duran, who was also killed at the hands of ICE. Members of various collectives of deported U.S. citizens and the organization Democrats Abroad Mexico demanded justice and the prosecution of ICE agents committing murders and racially motivated crimes against people of Latin American origin. They view this as a fascist, authoritarian, and racist campaign of white supremacy spearheaded and backed by President Donald Trump, noting the absence of justice or legal proceedings regarding the abuse of authority by ICE agents. Currently, the detention centers used by ICE are filled with people who have committed no crimesA?€'a violation of their human rights. Families are being separated, individuals are detained without any justification, and detained migrants are repeatedly transferred between detention centers before being deported to their countries of origin or to countries with which they have no connection. Carrying posters and portraits of various victims and chanting in support of their fellow citizens, the demonstrators showed their solidarity, letting them know they are not alone in the face of these unjust processes and crimes.
