Pie de Foto:
20 October 2026, Indonesia, South Aceh: A long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis) mother holds her infant tightly while perched on a roadside barrier along a national highway in South Aceh. Deforestation has pushed wild macaques onto busy highways, where roadside feeding by motorists alters their natural behavior and increases the risk of plastic ingestion and vehicle collisions.
