27 October 2026, Lebanon, Tebnine: Orphans salvage their belongings from a room heavily damaged by Israeli attacks at the at Tebnine Orphanage. The complex, a home for more than 30 young orphan girls from across Lebanon, was heavily devastated in the ongoing Israeli and pro-Iranian war. Bassima Fawaz, an official at the orphanage said:"If UNIFIL leaves Lebanon, then the whole southern Lebanese civilians leer más will become orphans". The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) is scheduled to end its mandate and depart southern Lebanon no later than December 31, 2026, after the UN Security Council unanimously voted to terminate the mission.
