School Protests in France

05 October 2026, France, Bordeaux: Protesting students gather with placards to blockade the Turgot secondary school. The demonstration comes as hundreds of high schools across the country face partial or total closures ahead of a massive union-backed mobilization. Students are demanding increased educational resources while denouncing unsanitary facilities, overcrowded classrooms, chronic teacher shortages, leer más and the inequalities of the Parcoursup university admissions system.
