La Fiscalía ordena la detención de un hombre sospechoso del asesinato de la estudiante Claudia Tacoronte

May 22, 2026, Mexico City, Cdmx, Mexico: Mexican President CLAUDIA SHEIMBAUM met with European Union President URSULA VON DER LEYEN and European Council President ANTONIO COSTA at the National Palace to strengthen agreements and relations on issues of economics, climate change, clean energy, electromobility, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, and international security. The agreements aim to reduce tariffs and improve bilateral relations. Prior to the signing of the agreement between the two leaders, Mexican Foreign Minister ROBERTO VELASCO and European Union High Representative KAJA KALLAS signed an agreement to establish a strategic dialogue on global issues. Additionally, Mexican Economy Minister MARCELO EBRARD and European Commissioner MAROS signed an interim trade agreement. During the signing of these agreements, outside the National Palace and under heavy police security, a group of pro-Palestinian protesters demanded that European Union representatives impose sanctions against the State of Israel for the genocide in Gaza being perpetrated by Benjamin Netanyahu.
