January 16, 2025, Beirut, Lebanon: United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights VOLKER TURK addresses journalists during a press conference to conclude a two-day visit to Syria and Lebanon in Beirut. Turk called for a resumption of an independent investigation into the explosion at the Beirut port in August 2020, which killed more than 218 people, wounded 7,000 others.
