It is part of the Temple Mount's retaining wall and is divided by a partition, with men on the left and women on the right. Jewish visitors pray, read from the Torah, and leave handwritten notes, known as kvitlachim, leer más in the wall's cracks. This centuries-old tradition is based on the belief that a divine presence resides in the wall.
