Supporters of Iranâ€s government waved Iranian national flags and displayed portraits of Ali Khamenei, Ruhollah leer más Khomeini, and Ebrahim Raisi. Some participants also carried black and green Shiite religious banners and red flags of the Türkiye İşçi Partisi (Workers†Party of Turkey), a Turkish socialist political party whose supporters often participate in international anti-Western and anti-Israel demonstrations. Across the area, counter-demonstrators supporting Iranian opposition figure Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iranâ€s last shah, held Israeli, U.S., and Israel Defense Forces flags and thanked American troops while expressing support for political change in Iran.
