February 17, 2025, Pristina, Pristina, Kosovo: Kosovo celebrates its 17th anniversary of independency. In 2008, the country unilaterally declared its independence from Serbia, which not recognised it. The country is in the process to enter the EU - European Union - but 5 of its members - Spain, Romania, Cyprus, Greece, and Slovakia - don't recognise it as a sovrereign and independent state.
