Uruguay.- Hospitalizado el expresidente uruguayo José Mujica, enfermo de cáncer

December 21, 2023, Montevideo, Uruguay: Ex-president of Uruguay José Mujica poses at the dining room of his home in Montevideo. From a successful family, she joined the Movimiento de Liberación Nacional-Tupamaros in 1967, where she was persecuted and later defeated by the police in collaboration with the Armed Forces. In 1970 she was captured by the police and escaped a few months later. In 1972 she was captured again and transferred to prison, where she remained until 1985 when the amnesty was approved. During her years as a prisoner she was subjected to physical and psychological torture.  Years later she became vice-president of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay and today, together with her husband José ''Pepe'' Mujica, they are two important national and international figures.
