Stop Starving Gaza Vigil On Martin Luther King Jr. Day

January 15, 2024, New York, New York, USA: Pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered at the Irish Hunger Memorial in lower Manhattan to call on the Israeli government and U.S. leaders to end the starvation of Palestinian people in Gaza. People hold a banner that reads ''Stop Starving Gaza!'' and the flags of Ireland & Palestine. Local organizers demand that NY-10 Congressman Dan Goldman and Senator Chuck leer más Schumer listen to their constituents and speak out for humanitarian aid to Gaza and the end to Israel's blockage of water, food, fuel, and medicine. Organizers of the memorial include NY-10 Neighbors Action Committee, IfNotNow, Bangladeshi Americans for Political Progress (BAPP), Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ), NYC Democratic Socialists of America (NYC-DSA) and Brooklyn For Peace.
