German President Steinmeier visits Finland

07 May 2026, Finland, Helsinki: German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (2-R) and his wife Elke Buedenbender (3-R) visit the Merihaka civil defense facility together with Cai-Goran Alexander Stubb (L), President of Finland. The Merihaka bunker is used as a sports and leisure facility in peacetime. In an emergency, it can provide shelter for up to 6,000 people.
