ATHENS, Sept. 5, 2026  -- Smoke rises after an F-4 Phantom fighter jet crashed during the Athens Flying Week air show in Tanagra Air Base, Greece, Sept. 5, 2026.
  An F-4 Phantom aircraft crashed on Saturday afternoon during the Athens Flying Week air show at Tanagra Air Base, Greek national broadcaster ERT reported.
  According to ERT, the aircraft suddenly lost altitude and crashed just minutes after the Hellenic Air Force flight demonstration began.
