Venezuelan embassy in Mexico receives humanitarian aid

June 26, 2026, Mexico City, Cdmx, Mexico: In response to earthquakes that have caused material losses and casualties in Venezuela, the country's embassy in Mexico City opened its doors as a collection center. It is accepting humanitarian aid brought by Mexicans, foreign nationals, and Venezuelans living in Mexico to provide support during this time. On the first day of accepting items—including medicines, non-perishable food, water, and hygiene products—dozens of Venezuelans working as app-based delivery drivers arrived at the embassy. Carrying flags and singing their national anthem, they brought supplies needed by their relatives and fellow citizens. Many stated that while their people endure this crisis caused by natural disasters, they will do everything possible to support and care for their families, despite being far from home. The Venezuelan Embassy will keep the collection center open indefinitely to receive donations from the general public, emphasizing that this is the only official aid reception center. Meanwhile, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has already dispatched specialized search-and-rescue personnel from the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) and other agencies to assist the government of President Delcy Rodríguez with necessary operations in the disaster zones.,Image: 1112812233, License: Rights-managed, Restrictions: , Model Release: no , Credit line: Josue Perez / Zuma Press / Europa Press
