Teachers Day In Mexico City

May 15, 2026, Mexico City, Cdmx, Mexico: To commemorate Teacher's Day, thousands of teachers took to the streets of Mexico City to march to the Zócalo, demanding that Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum grant them a 100\% salary increase, repeal the 2017 ISSSTE Law, and also demand that classes not be interrupted and that the vacation period for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, proposed by the local government, be brought forward.
