LEBANON BAISSARIYEH KILLED JOURNALIST MOURNING

BAISSARIYEH, April 24, 2026 -- Relatives and colleagues of Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil mourn at her home in Baissariyeh, Lebanon, April 23, 2026. Khalil, who worked for Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, was killed on Wednesday after being trapped under rubble following Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, reported Lebanese broadcaster Al-Jadeed TV. The strike blocked rescuers' access to Khalil leer más and her colleague Zeinab Faraj. Faraj was later evacuated to a hospital. The airstrike occurred despite a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon that came into effect last week, following weeks of intensified cross-border fighting amid the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran.,Image: 1093947868, License: Rights-managed, Restrictions: , Model Release: no, Credit line: Ali Hashisho / Xinhua News / Europa Press Editorial licence valid only for Spain and 3 MONTHS from the date of the image, then delete it from your archive.
