Farmers protest in Brussels

18 December 2025, Belgium, Brussels: The streets are prepared for speeches, part of a farmers' protest to denounce the reforms of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and unacceptable trade agreements, in Brussels, on Thursday 18 December 2025, organised by Copa-Cogeca, the main association representing farmers and agricultural cooperatives in the EU. The protest is being organised a few hours before leer más European Commission President von der Leyen is expected to leave for Brazil as part of the agreement with the South American trade bloc and on the sidelines of the European Council meeting on the future EU budget.
