Lebanon Bids Farewell to Ziad Rahbani

28 July 2025, Lebanon, Bikfaya: People mourn at a local church in the village of Bikfaya, during the funeral service of visionary Lebanese composer, playwright, and political activist Ziad Rahbani. Rahbani, who died last Saturday, was the eldest son of legendary Lebanese singer Fayrouz and the late composer Assi Rahbani. He rose to fame with his sharp-witted plays and genre-defying music that challenged Lebanon's political, sectarian, and social structures, becoming one of the Arab world's most influential cultural voices.
