IRGC head Hossein Salami killed in Israeli strike

13 June 2025, Iran, Teheran: Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) head Hossein Salami has been killed in an Israeli strike. Israel has confirmed that it has launched strikes targeting Iran's nuclear program, with explosions reported throughout the country. This operation, named Operation Rising Lion, was announced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who stated that Iran poses a threat to Israel's very survival.
